The first film shot and edited at 35,000 feet.
still the only film shot and edited at 35,000 feet. (it’s really hard to make a movie that high up in the air.)
Virgin America, Virgin Australia and Virgin Atlantic were combining loyalty programs, and they wanted a PR-able reason for people to notice. “We make a movie while flying on all three airlines,” is exactly the kind of idea a junior team comes up with. One with no context for how logically complicated it is to pull that kind of thing off. Which was good news for me and my partner because it ended up getting made. So we shot a movie that traversed the world, made it into a film festival and — some might even say — really rounded out Philip Baker Hall’s career. Watch a clip below or the film in its entirety here.
